3 questions on Wisconsin’s own driver fitness rules
These differ from the rules that hold nationally — they are the ones that catch out drivers who studied another state’s handbook.

- A0.08 or more only
- More than 0.0 but not more than 0.08
- C0.05 or more only
- D0.10 or more only
Answer: More than 0.0 but not more than 0.08. Wis. Stat. §346.63(2m) provides that if a person has not attained the legal drinking age, the person may not drive or operate a motor vehicle while he or she has an alcohol concentration of more than 0.0 but not more than 0.08.

2. For most Wisconsin drivers with two or fewer prior countable convictions, a prohibited alcohol concentration means:
- 0.08 or more
- B0.10 or more
- C0.02 or more
- D0.05 or more
Answer: 0.08 or more. Wis. Stat. §340.01 defines "prohibited alcohol concentration" for a person with two or fewer prior convictions, suspensions, or revocations counted under §343.307(1) as an alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more.

- B11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
- 12 midnight and 5 a.m.
- D1 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Answer: 12 midnight and 5 a.m.. Wis. - AProvide transportation for emergency personnel
- BCarry full commercial insurance
- CPay all traffic fines immediately

2. Long stretches of unchanging highway can produce highway hypnosis, which is best countered by:
- AIncreasing your speed
- BDriving with the windows closed
- CFixing your gaze on the centre line
